That’s when Zeus has to break it to Hercules that he must earn his god hood back, and become the greatest hero the worlds ever seen, and Herc should seek out Phil (Danny DeVito), the trainer of great heroes. Upon meeting Phil, he’s told no, Phil no longer trains wannabe heroes who can’t go the distance, until Hercules convinces Phil with epic feats of strength to finally train him! From there Hercules learns everything he knows, and one day sets out to fight his first monster, this is where he meets Meg, and instantly falls in love, but what he doesn’t know is a much darker force in lingering in the shadows, with plans to dethrone his father and take over Mt. Olympus!
Review: This has always been one of my favorite Disney movies ever since i was young. I think James Woods as Hades is the most perfect casting Disney has ever done. He absolutely steals the show and is the perfect foil for Hercules. The whole cast does a great job, and Hercules still holds up to today’s standards. I also think this movie has one of the best sound tracks of any Disney movie!
Recommendation: I would recommend this movie to people of all ages, it’s a fun retelling of the Hercules story, with a super strong cast it’s hard not to enjoy this movie!
